25 Things I'm doing to avoid doing my taxes...

1. cleaning my bathroom
2. designing the next DCVariety - Palace Premiers poster
3. filing unemployment
4. looking for work
5. lusting after the "Sprakle Bacon shirt @ thinkgeek.com
6. lusting after the Octopus with Bubble Gun Goes PEWPEW shirt at shirt.Woot.com
7. watching some (awesome) Cirque Berzerk videos
8. cleaning the kitchen
9. registering for a uke workshop
10. watching a disturbing preview for the Human Centipede (and yes, I would love to watch this movie someday..only because I think he actually pulls it off!)
11. making pdfs of old bank statements.
12. twitter
13. facebook
14. blogging about not doing taxes.
15. vacuuming.
16. designing new costumes
17. sharpening pencils
18. looking at artwork
19. reorganizing the folder structure in my documents folder

21. contemplating buying the turbo tax program ~again~ even though every year I use it the IRS comes back and screws me.

23. rehearsing a fire fingers number that I don't have scheduled to perform. (ie. superfluous rehearsing)

sad thing is this is not an exaggeration. I have a 2:30 appt. w/ a bookkeeper today. let's hope he gets my head on square. apparently, I'm intimidated by taxes.

I did mine this week. It wasn't as painful as I remember, even though I was missing two 1099-MISCs and two 1099-DIVs.

I wish I wouldn't put off the mileage calculation and receipt roundup till tax time, but I guess I always will.
