this is something that I actually do spend a lot of time thinking about. I think I already knew the basic theory of 1000 true fans. but this article puts it nicely into easy to understand words. *better than I, the word mangler!*

the trick is...making those 1000 true fans. that's worth some contemplation.

I saw this in one of my RSS feeds too... I found it fascinating! Sure, getting those 1,000 true fans is the hard part, but to know that it's possible is the first step!
