in preparation for my impending trip to london (um, in october...), I've started following londonist and weirdlondon.

I figure the best way to become familiar w/ a city is to read the local blogs. It's what I suggest to folks who ask me about DC (dcist, washingtondc and dcfreaks btw)

but I may have followed too soon. now I'm seeing awesome shows and events that won't be happening when I get there. boo. booo I say!

if I'm this excited about the trip now, imagine how annoying I'll be come september. :-) so I apologize now.

TimeOut London is a great website - I use that one the most for tracking concerts, clubs, etc.

You will want to plan some time in Camden for shopping. It's a tourist trap, but a fun one. Brick Lane is a must, especially for the Rough Trade record store.
