I agree with you on the versatility factor. but I believe the straps come off (unbutton) and that little pocket is the perfect place for props.

and I should have mentioned, it's not so much an "either or" issue. I definitely want the "steampunky" one, but the cheaper one would be the tie over till I can easily afford the more expensive one...unless I find another fancy one that I like better
