LOLcat Prophet

the bit from the article that cracked me up...

“I think it’s dreadful,” said Sandra Lafaire, 76, a tourist from Los Angeles, who said she believed in God and still enjoyed her life, thank you very much. “Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I don’t like it in my face.”

~that's~ what I've been trying to say!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I don’t like it in my face.

but truth be told, seriously, everyone IS entitled to their opinion. freedom of religion means ALL religions, or NONE. or Muslim, or Pagan, or Snake Handlers, or Pastafarians.

just like some people think that cilantro tastes like soap, some people cannot stomach religion. and Baskin Robbins comes in maaaaany flavors.

but will religious tolerance ever happen? People freak out about their favorite sports team, and that doesn't even concern your "immortal soul". even when folks get together under the pretenses of the same faith, they ~still~ fight. are we programed to be contrary?

I know I'm preaching to the choir (pun intended), but it is my hope and dream that someday, there will be true universal compassion.

ya, I know. not bloody likely. but a girl can hope, right?

"it is my hope and dream that someday, there will be true universal compassion."

Ooh, what a great idea for a religion...

Yeah, I just checked Wikipedia. Turns out that's, like, damn near ALL of 'em. Some kinda boilerplate EULA that comes with the template, I guess.
