in bullet form:
* my fingers feel funny. the callouses are coming in from playing the uke so much. but dang if they don't feel funny. the tips, where the skin meets the nail, are peeling a little. underneath, it's very tender. soon I will be a proper uke star. but it does make typing a little hard
* busy busy busy.
* Palace Premiers! DCVariety Showcase opens tomorrow. hopefully, it won't be lame. *nervous* hopefully, people will come out to see the show. wondering if I should offer cheaper admission? I don't like to set a precedent, but I really want there to be a good audience. I won't do it, but I'm thinking about about.
* this weekend in SC. my costume redesign for the photo shoot is not finished. :( there is no physical way between now and then that it will be finished. well, unless I take more time off from work. but we know that's not going to happen.
* some friends and I are planing a geek trip to England. hopefully I will get to see the Dr. Who exhibition! (mostly depends on when we go). plus shopping and comics and shoes and more. does anyone have suggestions for cheap places to stay? we are thinking about renting a house/room for a week.
* my hookah has arrived. it makes me happy. I need to pick up more shisha. mango. :-)
* the home carbonation unit has arrived too. it's not that nice. but it works. it looks all fancy on the website, but it's thin plastic. I suspect it will break before it stops working. (er, that made sense in my head)
* still waiting on my kick ass corset from clockwork couture. It may or may not be here before I leave for Columbia. it will definitely not be here in time to tweak for costume modifications.
* the American Sinner CD release party was great fun. I met a lot of really wonderful people. but I suppose that's no surprise. the Sinners are wonderful folk themselves, so it stands to reason that their buddies are equally awesome.
* it's time to renew my web design/portfolio website domain. I haven't used it in a year, so I'm toying with the idea of not renewing. but then, I started tinkering w/ it today. ya. so, um, it's only $10 and I will regret not doing it down the line...
* I get so much more done w/ I'm not at work.....just sayin'
