hey internet savvey monkeys! help me find a source for wooden ovals kind of like these

these are too thin. I need them to be at least 1/2" thick. most craft stores are coming up with the thin ones.

Which One?

No more stalling! Stop hemming and hawing and just get one already!

I've narrowed it down to 2 mics.

option 1:
Audio-Technica ATW-701/H92-TH Wireless System

- adjustable frequency
- easy to change batteries

- wire between headset and belt pack - make changing out the mic challenging. I would have to thread the wire through the corset. also, clunky belt pack.
- almost twice the cost ($400)

Option 2:
Samson Airline Micro Earset System

- no wires. super easy and portable
- almost 1/2 the cost ($250)

- while the battery is easily USB rechargeable, it can only be changed by authorized repair folks. so if I have a show and the batter is dying, I can't just pop in two more AAs.
- cannot change the frequency. so if someone else is on stage or there is interference, I'm kind of stuck. the other person might have the ability to adjust their frequency, but might not.

I cannot testify to the quality of either.
both have mixed reviews, though they are mostly positive.
both have warranties
- airline - lifetime tech support + 2 year warranty included in cost
- audio technica - 3 year that I pay extra for: $70 (factored into the $400)

since I'm dropping a huge chunk of change on this, I want to make sure I'm getting the right thing. I would have bought the airline right out if had adjustable frequencies. $250 is easier to swallow than $400.

I still cannot decide.
in a perfect world, I would get both!

does anyone here have a suggestion?

I'm still on the quest.

I found these:

will let you know how they turn out...

it's time. I have a bazillion shows this summer/fall/heading into winter. I'm turning into a veritable "Rock Star". livin' life on the road.

I want to bring my own mic with me. it's time I finally kick in the pennies to pick up a decent wireless mic.

who knows the most about such things?

1. how much should I expect to spend?
2. what should I ~not~ buy?
3. what do I need?
4. where do I get one? (internet?)
5. suggested brands?
6. features?
7. do you/know someone who has access to discounts or one you are selling?

any help is good help!
Thanks, LJ Braintrust!

this one is cool too:

this one is adorable, but way out of my price range:

mostly for my reference.

do you have a favorite zip front hoodie online?

I can't afford to get one, (and I've been wanting one for years) so I have the idea to buy a blank and trick it out to be really cool.

I need help. You folks out there are more savvy w/ the shopping online technique. I would like to get another skirt to supplement/backup my show skirt.
I would love to get another one just like the one I have. but I am doubtful that I will find it.

I like the color. I like the shape. I like the pattern.

I have ~no~ idea how to find another one. money is only slightly an object. (I would like to pay less than $100)

help? suggestions where to look? know of a great skirt that would work?
post the links baby!
